Dawah

Outreach Programs

As a means of establishing the correct understanding of Islam, dispelling myths and separating between religion and culture we go out in to the various areas and meet with women and children of different communities, spending a day in the remembrance of Allah, with various lessons, lectures, reminders from the basic foundations of our deen, to issues of fiqh, challenges affecting women, helping answer questions and misunderstanding of the deen, socializing  and  having fun activities in line with Islamic guidelines, sharing gifts, cooking and enjoying a meal together and most of all building and strengthening sisterhood. These programs normally see 180+ women and children attend, including few non-Muslims from within a community.

Marginalised groups

We have embarked on projects of dawah and support amongst neglected, marginalized, venerable and shunned groups within the society as a means of dawah, giving hope, helping in rehabilitation, etc, from amongst these are the Refugees, Prisoners and Hospitals working with and serving both Muslim and non-Muslim women and children alike, providing care, support, education, basic needs, making them feel wanted and human, helping them getting back to the world without the great challenges there face and helping them realize and come closer to their creator, our creator Allah almighty.

Support Groups

There has been an increase in cases of domestic-based violence, abuse, and addictions in recent years. Many women and youth have suffered and still suffer silently. Through our support groups, a number of women and youth have come out seeking help. Our aim is to help reduce domestic violence against women and improve mental health using dialogue and education, and helping those suffering from various addictions, social ills. We endeavor to be a source of solace and support for victims while facilitating effective methods of reconciliation within the Islamic parameters. We spearhead campaigns that build family values where women are central to the success of family unity.

workshops

As a means of bring about practical experience and support on various issues we face and are affecting our day to day lives, we hold workshops from time to time, to impart practical skills and knowledge, create forums and improve on existing structures to help women become better versions of themselves with the correct knowledge, practical understanding, and skills.
Workshops include educative sessions based on theory and practice surrounding a wide range of issues from fiqh of Janazah, Ghusal and Kafan (the shrouding, washing and dealing with a deceased body in line with Islamic laws and regulations), to mental health sessions were sisters are educated on various topics, can share personal experiences and examples and come up with practical workable  solutions through dialogue supported by authentic scriptures both academic and religious, which are then followed through, amongst other required educative workshops based on current challenges and needs.
We believe in bringing knowledge power as education is the key to success and the woman is the backbone of community, society and the family, thus equipping them with sound knowledge and skills there are able to make a better living.
